Sharon Osbourne dealt with a wave of criticism as well as an investigation into racism allegations after she defended Piers Morgan's comments about Meghan Markle. As a result of the controversy and two weeks after her on-air argument with co-host Sheryl Underwood, Osbourne announced last Friday that she was quitting The Talk.
Despite her departure and allegations of racist behavior, Osbourne is reportedly set to receive a payday of up to $10 million from CBS.
"Sharon is walking away with a $5 to $10 million minimum payout and was able to spin that it was her decision [to leave the show]," a source told Page Six.
An additional source added that Osbourne's departure agreement does not forbid her from speaking openly about her time on the talk show.
"Sharon will talk when she is ready," the source said. "She still wants to give her side of the story. She has been on that show for 11 years and knows all the secrets."
