Part 5: Bobby Luisi on Leaving Patriarca Mafia to Become Capo in Philadelphia Mob
Part 1: Former Philly Mafia Made Man Bobby Luisi on Growing Up with Patriarca Mafia

--------

In the latest clip, Bobby Luisi broke down the chain of events that led to him receiving conspiracy charges over his cocaine operation. While he wasn't arrested until 1999, he claimed he was on the feds' radar after 1995. After detailing law enforcement's "open surveillance" on him, he talked about rediscovering religion and being involved in the church while continuing to run his crew on the streets. However, he was one of 13 men indicted for conspiracy to acquire and distribute cocaine.

Luisi said he was looking forward to prison time but was hit with a murder charge after his Boston associates flipped on him. He responded by cooperating with the feds via a proffer agreement. Luisi eventually had second thoughts on becoming an informant and took his drug case to trial. He ended up receiving a 20-year sentence but was not charged for the murder due to his proffer agreement.
