Legal issues for the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods have carried on even after 6ix9ine's case. A member of the set's Philadelphia chapter was recently sentenced to 15 years in prison for distributing large quantities of methamphetamine and other controlled substances.
According to the United States Department of Justice website, Daniel "Trouble" Morales -- described on the website as an "Internet Rapper" -- was "investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police as part of a conspiracy which was responsible for trafficking methamphetamine, heroin and cocaine in and around Berks County."
The aspiring rapper, who also goes by King_Troub93 on Instagram, pleaded guilty to three felony counts of manufacture, possession, and distribution of a controlled substance in October 2019. On three separate occasions between May and June 2019, Morales sold over 800 grams of methamphetamine and an additional quantity of heroin to an undercover Pennsylvania State Police Trooper.
The FBI and police found that Morales had access to a "seemingly endless supply" of methamphetamine after they used federal wiretaps to listen in on conversations between Morales, drug suppliers, and customers for about three months. Law enforcement also found out that he was working with his mother, who had connections to the Mexican drug cartel and sold marijuana.
"Morales and his co-conspirators pumped huge quantities of deadly, addictive drugs into Reading and its surrounding communities," said Jennifer Arbittier Williams, the acting United States Attorney. "Drug trafficking destroys lives and neighborhoods. Our Office is determined to protect the communities impacted by drug trafficking by investigating and convicting the criminals responsible for it."
In addition to the 15-year sentence, Morales was issued a $2,000 fine and will have five years of supervised release.
