According to reports, police have identified the gunman in the mass shooting that took place at FedEx ground facility in Indianapolis. The man was identified to be 19-year-old Brandon Hole, who was a former employee of FedEx.

Deputy Chief Craig McCartt spoke on the matter of trying to get the suspect, saying “My understanding is, by the time that officers entered ... the situation was over -- that the suspect took his life very shortly before officers entered the facility.” According to CNN, this is the 45th mass shooting in the United States, in the past month.

A shooter stormed an Indianapolis FedEx warehouse around 11 pm on Thursday (April 15), killing at least 8 people and wounding at least 7 more people, and then killing himself. Indianapolis police say five people have been hospitalized, including one in critical condition who was expected to survive. 

During a press conference, Officer Genae Cook of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department revealed that police arrived at an active shooting scene with employees running from the warehouse. When police encountered the shooter, he "immediately took his own life." You can hear more information about the incident from Officer Cook above.
