Swae Lee Speaks on Loss of His Father: "My Brother Killed My Dad"

It was reported that the brother of Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi—Michael Sullivan, was arrested for allegedly killing the stepfather of the two rappers. The group’s half-brother was accused of shooting his own father, and it was believed that Sullivan may have been off of his medication when the incident happened. Now, Swae Lee has spoken on the tragic incident while on his Snapchat series ‘Swae Meets World,’ and talked bout the pain surrounding the loss.

The rapper said “My dad, my pops, yeah he passed away recently. I have three brothers, allegedly the police say my youngest brother, he shot my dad, like killed my dad.”

Swae Lee continued, saying: “And it's like, my brother killed my dad. That s**t is like, unbelievable like you can't even imagine like, it's like something out of a movie, you know. I'm still dealing with it like I don't even know how to deal with it all the way completely.” He concluded by saying “I gotta go to Mississippi too tho, cus like I gotta visit my dad. You know what I'm saying, visit the gravesite.” Watch above.

Rae Sremmurd's half-brother was charged with first-degree murder after police accused him of fatally shooting his own father.

Michael Sullivan was charged in Lee County, Mississippi after a grand jury heard evidence relating to the case in January. According to the D.A., Floyd Sullivan Jr. was shot at least once on January 6, 2020, before Michael was detained as a person of interest.

Michael's mother, Bernadette Walker, believed Michael might have been off his medication before the alleged shooting. She explained that he had been having episodes with her before going to live with his father.

She revealed Michael suffers from Schizoaffective disorder, which includes symptoms such as mood swings and delusions. Michael was reportedly held for a psychiatric evaluation before he was eventually arrested and taken to jail.

Michael is not facing the death penalty but still faces life in prison if convicted. He's currently in custody with no confirmed court appearance or trial date. Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi have not commented on the incident.
