The shooting of Daunte Wright has found many taking to the streets to protest, and Wright’s family has also been vocal about the situation that resulted in Daunte’s death by a police officer. Now, the lawyer for the mother of Wright—Thomas Bowers, said threats are being made to the family.
Bowers said, “There have been some threats to the family, which is disturbing.” He noted he received racist emails and calls, with people reportedly saying they are happy that Daunte was killed. News of this comes after the mugshot for former police officer Kim Potter was released. Potter was arrested for the shooting death of Wright and is facing a second-degree manslaughter charge.
