According to reports, a Massachusetts man was recently arrested for allegedly raping a 74-year-old woman at a senior living facility.
Giani Morales, 27, was arraigned on charges including sexual assault, home invasion, and burglary. The victim told police she was approached by Morales while walking her dog. She said Morales tried to "push up on her" as she waited for an elevator. While the victim waited, Morales exposed himself leading her to retreat back to her apartment.
Morales followed the woman and forcibly entered her home. Once inside the apartment, Morales proceeded to rape the elderly woman. She managed to escape and alert authorities about the attack. When police arrived, they found Morales passed out in the woman's apartment.
“This is one of the most appalling scenarios that I have read in a police report in the 25-plus years that I have been a judge,” Judge Maureen Dennis told Morales during his arraignment on Wednesday. Morales’s bond was set at $1.25 million.
