Surveillance footage captured a random attack in Baltimore in which a man attacked two female liquor store owners Sunday night.

The Korean sisters were reportedly closing their store before 11 P.M., when the attack unfolded. As one woman was closing the front door, a man charged at her with a cement block. The scuffle moved completely into the store before the two fell to the ground.

A male customer was seen witnessing the assault but left without attempting to intervene. The attacker held the woman's head to the floor and began striking her with the block until the sister jumped in to stop him. However, she was struck in the head as well.

The women continued to fight the attacker off, despite suffering blows to the head, and eventually wrestled the cement block away from him. No longer in possession of the block, the man fled the scene.

One of the victim's sons said the attack was a "random, random act" and neither his mother nor aunt knew the man.

"I admire the bravery and courage of these two women and am incredibly proud of them," wrote John Yun on the women's GoFundMe, which has raised $32,000. "Their physical wounds will heal eventually, but the trauma from this attack will require more time. I am trying to raise some funds so they can relax and heal and without worrying about the burden of bills that will arise from this attack."

Shortly after the attack, 50-year-old Daryl Doyles was arrested by Baltimore Police and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
