Kodak Black was one of a number of popular rappers to release a project on Friday. In addition to J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, and 21 Savage, Kodak Black released his Haitian Boy Kodak EP where he addressed his strained friendship with NBA YoungBoy.
While neither rapper has revealed what sparked the tension between the two, their feud spilled into the public spotlight after Kodak Black commented on Yaya Mayweather's stabbing incident while he was locked up. Kodak called out NBA YoungBoy for reportedly cooperating with police during the incident, which incited a fiery response from the Baton Rouge rapper.
NBA YoungBoy's response led to Kodak Black claiming YoungBoy wanted to be like him and warned him to "stop playing with me." In his new EP, Kodak addressed the soured relationship on the track, "Dirty K."
"My lil' brother YoungBoy told me he look up to me / I don't know why but he be feeling like it's f*** me now / Back the car up, tryna see what all this fussing 'bout," Kodak rapped.
Despite the tension between the two, Kodak seems to be open to reconciling with NBA YoungBoy. In March, the Florida rapper addressed YoungBoy's legal trouble and said he was not happy about his former friend being behind bars.
