New York Mets outfielder Kevin Pillar spoke to the media after the frightening scene of him getting hit in the face by a 94 MPH pitch. Despite bearing the scars of the errant pitch, Pillar expressed concern for Atlanta Braves pitcher Jacob Webb.

"I know he feels bad; I know me, and him have talked last night, today," Pillar said while addressing the media just 24 hours after the incident. "I'm almost more worried about him than I am myself."

“I know how tough that can be on someone who feels responsible for someone getting injured... He needs to continue to be confident and believe in himself.”

Pillar was hit flush in the middle of his face during the 7th inning of the Mets' Monday matchup against the Braves. Pillar bled profusely after getting hit by Webb's 94 MPH fastball. On Tuesday, the Mets announced that Pillar's diagnosis was "multiple nasal fractures," and doctors would reevaluate soon to chart the next steps toward recovery.
