Update 05/20/2021 3:27pm:

Police have arrested the suspect believed to be the man responsible for murdering Chicago rapper AAB Hellabandz in 2019.

Miami Beach detective apprehended 26-year-old Austin Hall for being the alleged gunman in the rapper's death. Hall is accused of killing Hellabandz in retaliation for a murder that occurred at a nightclub in 2015. The murder suspect reportedly committed the murder shortly before having to turn himself in for an armed robbery.

Hellabandz was shot and killed at Cameo nightclub in Miami. Surveillance footage showed Hall and the rapper have a verbal exchange before Hall punched Hellabandz. Hall chased Hellabandz and started firing shots. Despite the rapper's attempts at avoiding the bullets, he falls and allows Hall to catch up to him before suffering fatal gunshot wounds to the back and head.

"It was pretty brazen to assassinate somebody in the middle of the street, next to a nightclub that was packed," said Miami Beach homicide detective Alberto Porro.

Porro added that they were able to finally arrest Hall with the help of the surveillance footage, telephone records, the Chicago Police Department, and by tracking the movements of Hall's associates.

Austin Hall has reportedly been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
