Elliot Page posted his first shirtless photo on Instagram Monday, after coming out as transgender last year.
"Trans bb's first swim trunks #transjoy #transisbeautiful," read Page's caption.
This is the first shirtless photo that the public has seen of Page (formerly known as actress Ellen Page) since undergoing surgery to remove breast tissue. In a March interview, the actor said the surgery "transformed" his life.
The 34-year-old announced that he was transgender in December 2020, six years after coming out as gay. At the time, Page wrote, "I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me along this journey. I can't begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self."
One month after Page's announcement, he and his wife since 2018 revealed they were getting a divorce.
