Maino and Tragedy Khadafi recently posed for a photo, confirming they've squashed their feud that extends over a decade. Tragedy Khadafi posted the picture on Instagram and announced the two former rivals had moved past their issues.
"Sometimes as #grown men you gotta move on and get past ... .. the past backwards karate chop to the Yalla @yung_reallie," Khadafi's caption read. "Time to talk about it on @kitchentalk and @ondachow. Off the noooo bulls***. All the way #greenbury."
Maino and Tragedy Khadafi were reportedly at odds due to a physical altercation that occurred over a missed payment for a verse. Khadafi was allegedly paid by Maino but failed to deliver the verse after pocketing the payment. According to Maino, when the two crossed paths at an industry party, the "Kitchen Talk" host "didn't lose it; I let things happen. And it got bad for him."
In a 2006 interview, Khadafi spoke on the incident and said feuding with the Maino was counterproductive. In the same interview, he predicted that the beef would die down at some point.
"Like I said in a previous interview on the subject, it's counterproductive," Khadafi told Bossip. "I overstand he's looking at it in a different light…he's struggling trying make a name for himself …it's kinda parallel to street life…when I was a young boy trying to come up…there were OGs with certain status…..I was like I gotta go after his head cause I gotta make it. That's a young mentality, as a grown man I know beef is gonna rest. Nobody wants that….I don't care who you are or who you claim to be on your records. I know better than that. I know that no man wants to sit in jail….one individual can go zipped up in a bag, and the other can go to jail or both can go to jail or both can go zipped in a bag. It's counterproductive it doesn't make sense, it doesn't prosper and doesn't make money."
