According to reports, a grand jury convened to hear evidence in a tax evasion probe that could see former president Donald Trump indicted on criminal charges.

The Manhattan district attorney convened the grand jury on Monday to listen to the evidence and begin the process of determining whether criminal charges against Trump are warranted. The grand jury will meet for 3 days a week for the next 6 months to make such a determination.

Prosecutors are zeroing in on Trump's business dealing before the 2016 election, focusing on whether the Trump Organization manipulated property values to defraud banks and insurance companies.
