Previously, Famous Dex was in the news for his struggles following a stint in a rehab facility for substance abuse. The rapper reportedly checked out of the facility earlier this year, but seemed to get into more issues following his departure. Famous Dex was hit with a gun possession charge in March 2021, and shortly after that, 19 domestic violence and gun possession charges. The rapper pleaded not guilty to the charges, but now, it has been reported that Dex is currently in custody, as he allegedly violated a protective order that was filed following one of the alleged abuse incidents that went down in October 2020.

Sources that spoke to TMZ noted that Dex was at a hearing this past Thursday that focused on the charges he faced in March 2021, and he pleaded not guilty. Despite that, Famous Dex was held on a $200,000 bond after being taken into custody. Stay tuned for more updates.

Previously, it was reported that Famous Dex was arrested after a loaded gun was found in his car while in Los Angeles. Now, news has surfaced noting the rapper is facing numerous charges that include gun possession and domestic violence. The 19 charges against the rapper reportedly stem from three different incidents.

Two of the incidents reportedly involve Famous Dex’s ex-girlfriends, with one of the incidents finding cops responding to a domestic disturbance situation at his home. Police arrived and found a woman with cuts on her, which ultimately led to a standoff with the rapper and a SWAT team. The rapper reportedly barricaded himself in his home with guns after he allegedly hurt his ex. The rapper was charged with defacing property, dissuading a victim from reporting a crime, weapon possession, and domestic violence.

The other incident found the rapper being charged with illegal possession of a firearm, threatening a domestic partner, and corporal injury domestic violence. According to the City Attorney’s Office, the rapper is facing up to 18 years for all of his alleged crimes as of now. Stay tuned for more details.
