A Toronto rapper, who was dubbed "Canada's Tay-K," pleaded guilty to murder Wednesday. The rapper was apprehended in Minnesota with 67 guns in his possession after two years on the run.

Yung Lava, whose real name is Dayne Adrian Sitladeen, was pulled over in January for a speeding violation. At the time, the rapper was on Toronto's Most Wanted list for the murder of Blain Grindley. The driver of the car was Muzamil Aden Addow, who was accused of kidnapping a wealthy Chinese student in 2019. Both men were found to have traveled to the United States illegally.

While Yung Lava and Addow originally pleaded not guilty to possession of a firearm by an alien illegally in the U.S. However, after defense attorneys were unsuccessful in arguing that the suspects' constitutional rights were violated and could only get one of the charges dismissed, the 29-year-old rapper changed his plea.

Yung Lava faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The rapper may also face deportation due to the conviction.
