According to reports, Atlanta legend Kilo Ali has filed a lawsuit against NLE Choppa for copyright infringement. Ali is claiming the rapper borrowed his flow on the track “Make Em Say.”

Kilo Ali was frequently tied to members of the Dungeon Family, as he collaborated with Big Boi and Cee-Lo Green in the 90s. The suit finds Ali claiming that NLE Choppa took the chorus from his song “Love In Your Mouth,” featuring Big Boi.

The NLE Choppa song that allegedly featured the lift was “Make Em Say,” and Kilo is seeking damages related to the profits of his ‘Top Shotta’ song. The suit reportedly says “Further, the lyrics of the chorus and post-chorus of the Infringing Work resemble the lyrics of the chorus of the Original Work in word, sound, and meaning, which invoke the heart of the Original Work.”

Ali’s suit note the song borrows his “flow and pitch” and refers to it as “substantially similar” to “Love In Your Mouth.” NLE Choppa wasn’t the only party named in the suit, as Kilo Ali listed Warner Music Group, NLE Choppa Entertainment, and others. Stay tuned for more updates.
