Former Outlawz member Mutah Beale, formerly known as Napoleon, spoke with The Art of Dialogue about his experiences with 2Pac and witnessing the late rapper's bond with Jada Pinkett.

Napoleon talked about witnessing 2Pac support Jada in her first starring role when he first started hanging out with the rapper and actor. During the conversation, he recalled 2Pac being upset over a request Jada Pinkett made after telling him about her relationship with Will Smith.

"Then a couple days later, I heard him mentioning to someone that he knew the actress, which is Jada Pinkett. Later on, she became a star," Napoleon said. "The second time I probably heard him talk about her is when he went to L.A. He was very upset. Pac came in the room and was like, 'Jada, she gonna contact me and tell me don't do nothing to Will Smith.' So Pac was upset and said, 'I don’t know why she think I would have tried to make some problems with Will Smith.' I guess it kind of hurt him. He had a lot of love for Jada Pinkett, a lot of respect for her."

When asked if 2Pac was fine with Jada and Will's relationship, Napoleon said 2Pac respected the relationship but was offended by the nature of her request.

"He was offended when she asked him not to do anything to Will Smith from a standpoint not to be violent towards him," he responded. "I think that just hurt him more than anything. Because he was like, 'What do you think this is? I’m not walking around being this impulsive, violent individual.' So I think that probably hurt his feelings at the particular time."

Napoleon's comments come weeks after Jada Pinkett shared an unreleased poem from 2Pac on what would have been his 50th birthday.
