Last year, Lil Yachty spoke on contributing to the City Girls’ popular song “Act Up,” with the rapper also revealing that he was made fun of for writing the song. Yachty went on to reveal the benefits of writing the track, saying, “Mans talking about, I wrote City Girls, I'm sure his b**ch sing it. And I wanna let him know, that was an eight-figure check.” Since then, the City Girls have found themselves soaring higher with their new song “Twerkulator,” pushing them to the front of pop music. During a recent conversation with Real 92.3, the duo was asked about the song, along with Yachty’s past contributions to “Act Up.”

When asked about “Act Up,” Yung Miami simply said “Next” while JT could be heard and seen laughing in the background. In a previous 2019 interview with Kerwin Frost, Yachty mentioned that he penned most of the song except JT’s last verse.
