According to reports, Atlanta Falcons player Barkevious Mingo was arrested this past week for “indecency with a child.” Mingo was arrested on July 8 by the Arlington Police Department, according to court records. Mingo was then booked into the Tarrant County jail for “indecency with a child, sexual contact.”

The Atlanta Falcons issued a statement on the 30-year-old player’s allegations and arrest, saying, “Our organization became aware of the allegations involving Barkevious Mingo today and are currently gathering information on this incident. The Falcons take the allegations very seriously and will continue to monitor the situation.”

The arrest took place in Texas, and Mingo’s bond was reportedly set at $25,000, which he posted the next morning after the arrest. The charge against Mingo is a 2nd-degree felony, which reportedly can mean up to a 20-year prison sentence in the state of Texas. Stay tuned for more details.
