More details in the assassination of Haitian president Jovenel Moise have been surfacing, with reports recently noting that the accused killers of Moise were trained by the United States as part of the “war on drugs.” Now, news has surfaced noting the Haitian president was planned in the Dominican Republic.

Haiti’s police chief spoke on the issue saying, three men (including a former senator who opposed Moise) were seen together in a Santo Domingo hotel. An image that surfaced shows James Solages, Dr. Christian Sanon, and former Senator John Joel Joseph together. Sanon and Solages were arrested while Joseph is still wanted by the Haitian police.

Haitian National Police Director Léon Charles spoke on the matter, saying, “They met in a hotel in Santo Domingo. Around the table there are the architects of the plot, a technical recruitment team and a finance group.” Along with that, he said, “Some individuals in the photo have already been apprehended, such as Dr. Christian Emmanuel Sanon and James Solages.” Police say Solages coordinated with CTU Security—a Miami-based Venezuelan company to plot the assassination. Charles went on to say CTU used their company credit card to buy 19 plane tickets to Santo Domingo from Bogota, Colombia for the suspects allegedly involved in the assassination plot.
