Previously, a posthumous album of Pop Smoke material was released to the public and had many features, including Pusha T and more. A feature from rapper Eli Fross was featured, but ultimately removed. Since then, Rowdy Rebel commented on the removal of Fross from the song “Top Shotta” featuring Pusha T, saying, “SMH I don't understand why my boy not on this tracc.”
Rowdy continued on, saying, “Ayoo Eli Fross don't trip bro yu know how theses industry n***as is straight succers." Since then, producer 808Melo has spoken on the situation, as well as childhood friend Mike Dee, with both of them expressing differing opinions on the project. Since then, Drake has chimed in with his thought on the matter, co-signing Rowdy’s post. Via Instagram, Drake liked a re-post of Rowdy speaking on Eli Fross being taken off of “Top Shotta.”
News of this comes after it was revealed that Eli Fross was arrested for attempted murder after a shooting at Times Square in New York. Take a look above.
