Chicago rapper Calboy took to Twitter to share his thoughts about his verse being left off of Pop Smoke's latest album, Faith. He wrote, "This the second time Brodie camp played with a verse of mine ..bro knew what it was n what it wasn’t. It’s all love for him 4L but I have zero respect for [that] camp bro."
Calboy also responded to a fan who wrote, "Why Steven victor do you dirty on both of Pop’s albums, that shot ain’t right bro," replying, "F**k em ! LongLivePop tho."
This isn't the first time Calboy has sounded off about being left off of one of Pop Smoke's projects, as his verse was take off of "Diana" on Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon. However, his adlibs were left on the track, which he pointed out on Twitter, writing, "On Wesley grave y’all bogus asf for taking me off pop smoke album …but then keep my fucking adlibs,” he wrote via Twitter. “two days before my boy passed away we was planning a vid wit me combs n him ..how y’all play it like tht ..ion respect that shit at all … @POPSMOKE10 out now!!"
He later clarified, "But my apologies if I made tht bout myself for a second,” he explained. “was juss looking forward to more work out wit my boy @POPSMOKE10 ..but album fire erbody go run that shit all the way up to the stars for gang .. Rest easy my boy."
Calboy isn't the only person criticizing Pop Smoke's latest project, as 808Melo, who worked with Pop Smoke on various projects prior to his tragic passing, told critics that he didn't work on the latest album. He wrote, "Don’t complain to me about the album I had no involvement in it & you guys know that. Sorry bro I miss you."
