According to reports, a Mississippi man has been charged with murder after an argument with another man turned deadly over bible scripture verses.
The incident went down in Wayne County, Mississippi, on July 7, and a fistfight reportedly broke out between Samuel McDougle and Sherrod Laffitte while both were at Laffitte’s house. Waynesboro Police noted that the fight got out of hand after the argument and fistfight, resulting in McDougle strangling Laffitte. The man was ultimately pronounced dead at his home. The autopsy on Laffitte’s body confirmed that he died due to strangulation.
McDougle ended up turning himself in to the cops and was charged with second-degree murder. He is currently being held on a $1 million bond.
