According to reports, firefighters in New Orleans responded to a call related to a fire that took place at the Spanish baroque mansion in the Garden District. The spot that was on fire allegedly belongs to Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
The blaze in question was a 1-alarm fire, and it reportedly took 22 firefighters to calm the situation. The fire department received the call around 6 PM, and the fire was put out around 2 hours later. The cause of the fire is reportedly unknown, and a smoke alarm is actually what gave firefighters the heads up.
Since the blaze, the house fire was classified as simple arson. Police noted they initially responded to the arson scene after receiving a call about a suspicious person. Once getting to the scene, they determined someone set fire to the property. Stay tuned for more updates.
