NBA YoungBoy is likely to remain in prison until his trial for gun possession begins. A judge has upheld the court's decision to deny the rapper's bond after the feds presented additional evidence against the rapper.
In April, NBA YoungBoy's bond was revoked after United States Magistrate Judge Scott D. Johnson ruled the rapper was unfit to receive bail. The judge listed NBA YoungBoy leading police on a high-speed chase to evade arrest, drug use, and criminal history as reasons to deny the rapper's bond.
The rapper's lawyer appealed the decision, but the feds presented photos of NBA YoungBoy in the possession of firearms. In both photos, NBA YoungBoy is seen holding an assault rifle. In one photo, he's with a group of others while he's seen posing with a young fan in another.
NBA YoungBoy's March arrest stemmed from a September 2020 video shoot, which was raided as part of an operation named, "Never Free Again." The rapper has been charged with one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of possession of a firearm not registered on the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record. He has pleaded not guilty to his charges.
