Florida Rapper Money Mitch reportedly died by suicide last week following a shootout with police.
The rapper was riding in an Uber when the vehicle was pulled over for a traffic violation. Mitch allegedly exited the vehicle and started exchanging gunfire with police officers.
After Mitch fled the scene, police traced blood they spotted a block away from the shootout and discovered the rapper with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Law enforcement claimed Mitch was not injured during his shootout with cops.
"We followed him to a building and on the second floor, we noticed some blood droppings on the first floor. We thought he was wounded," said Frank DeMario of the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office. "We didn't have any involvement in the shooting."
The two officers involved in the shooting were placed on paid administrative leave, which is standard procedure, as the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigates the shooting. No one else was harmed during the shooting.
