Canadian rapper Top5 remains at large since being charged for first-degree murder in May. The music artist has refused to surrender to authorities since being accused of participating in the January murder of 20-year-old Hashim Omar Hashi.
Toronto Mayor John Tory commented on Top5's refusal to turn himself in and said, "I know the devastation and trauma that murders in our city have caused families and neighborhoods and it is very troubling to know someone charged with murder has so far not made himself available to the authorities."
Top5 recently appeared on Instagram Live and looked unbothered by being a wanted man. The rapper was seen lying down and engaging with fans before expressing his willingness to meet with Toronto Mayor John Tory. While stating he wanted a sit-down with the mayor, he called out the politician and declared himself as the person who runs the city.
"You guys wanna link up? Call John Tory and tell him I f****** want a sit-down for f****** 30 minutes," Top5 said 4:23 into the above clip. "I wanna spit my facts, and he'll spit his facts. I run Toronto, you f****** goof."
His alleged victim was fatally shot multiple times on January 31st. Top5 and another suspect were arrested for the murder weeks later. The rapper was originally charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder, two counts of failing to comply with probation, and multiple drug-related charges before the charges were upgraded.
Top5 previously appeared on Instagram Live last month to proclaim his innocence.
