Jadakiss appeared on a new episode of Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson's show, "All The Smoke," where he spoke about the recent Verzuz battle between The Lox and Dipset and his relationship with The Notorious B.I.G.

The Lox member opened up on his bond with the late rapper and shared a few stories. Jadakiss revealed that Biggie's death was The Lox's first time in Los Angeles and recalled the Ready To Die rapper encouraging The Lox to settle their differences with Diddy when they arrived back in New York.

He also talked about living through the East Coast-West Coast feud and was grateful social media didn't exist back then. He also placed blame on the media and record executives for fueling the beef. Jadakiss also talked about Biggie and 2Pac's friendship before giving his reaction to witnessing their fallout.

"Big loved Pac. We used to ask him...he used to love Pac," Jadakiss said. "Pac used to give him jewels and he would tell us stories for days about Pac, so I knew for a fact that he loved him...genuinely loved him. So when all that stuff happened, it was a little bit crazy to us."

Jadakiss added that The Lox started buzzing later on so they were shielded from being involved or mentioned in diss records. However, he described witnessing Biggie's initial reaction after hearing "Hit 'Em Up" and said Biggie was more upset about the things that were said about the Junior M.A.F.I.A. members.

"I think I might have been with Big at a Total video, ['Kissing You (Remix),'] the first time he heard 'Hit 'Em Up' though," he continued. "When he got somebody [to] pass it to him and put it in, I think I was there when he first laid ears on that and he wasn't even really mad. He was more mad at the stuff they was saying about Cease and Kim opposed to the song itself. It didn't ruffle his feathers, he was more upset about what they was saying about his little man and the Queen B. That's how much he was for the team."
