Former Los Angeles Laker and seven-time NBA champion Robert Horry criticized Dennis Schroder's free agency decision on Thursday's episode of ESPN's "The Jump." The NBA guard reportedly declined the Lakers' $84 million contract extension during last season, believing he could receive a $100 million offer with a starting role in free agency.

However, Schroder's plan has seemingly backfired as the market has dried up and the Lakers upgraded the point guard role by signing Russell Westbrook. While discussing possible destinations for Schroder, Robert Horry criticized the guard for choosing to "play games" with the Lakers organization.

"You said, 'Oh, I want to return to the Lakers.' But you wanted to play games. Now you are the disaster of your own game plan," Horry said. "You don't know what you're going to do. You probably lost about $60 million because you didn't sign with the Lakers. Now you're probably going to have to sign a one-year deal because I don't think the Lakers are going to bring you back because they're stacked now. They have no room for you."

Horry added that Schroder will likely have to find a new team and restart his career. He also compared Schroder's free agency to the misfortunes of Isaiah Thomas.

"He wanted to be a starter in this league," Horry continued. "Now where ever he goes, he's going to go back to being backup. I just hope it doesn't turn out like an IT situation where you pass up all this money and then you can never recoup it."

Dennis Schroder averaged over 15 points and five assists per game with the Lakers last season.
