A Louisiana FBI agent had just completed an 18-month assignment to the FBI Internet Crimes Against Children unit in Baltimore when he began being investigated for sexual misconduct with minors. The agent was recently was arrested for allegedly exposing himself to multiple minors and molesting one child in multiple states between 2018 and 2019.
Prosecutors claim 51-year-old David Lee Harris exposed himself to multiple underage girls and threatened one of the victims to prevent her from coming forward with the allegations. Harris is also accused of molesting one victim in Florida, Louisiana, and Texas.
Harris was arrested on June 24 after multiple adults and children accused him sexual misconduct dating back to 2016. An arrest affidavit states two alleged minor victims accused him of exposing himself at a pool multiple times on February 4. Harris allegedly apologized for the incident and blamed it on being intoxicated.
During their investigation, law enforcement learned that Harris has exposed himself to a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old. In addition, the FBI agent reportedly touched the 13-year-old girl inappropriately. Authorities also discovered text messages of Harris expressing his desire to be nude in front of people and his attraction to teenage girls. Also, a woman claiming to have had an affair with Harris told detectives she believes he exposed himself to her daughter more than once.
Harris was booked into a Louisiana jail on charges of aggravated crimes against nature and indecent behavior with children under age 13. He also has outstanding warrants for sexual battery, attempted third-degree rape, aggravated crimes against nature, indecent behavior with juveniles, obscenity, and witness intimidation.
