Reggie Wright Jr. returned for his first on-camera interview after being released from prison and having a severe battle with COVID-19. The former Death Row representative stated he is still rehabbing after suffering complications from a health scare that nearly took his life.

"I gotta long way to go," Wright said. "[I] still got some therapy to do to get my strength back in my legs and arms, but I'm about 50-60 percent there."

He claimed he caught COVID-19 at a halfway house he was staying at after getting released from prison. While he was hospitalized on December 9, he believes he caught the virus days earlier. Wright also revealed he was in the hospital for eight months as a result of catching the virus.

"[I] got hospitalized December the 9th, was on a ventilator from about December the 14th until about February 10th," he added. "I was out, don't remember anything. Just laid up...comatose."

Wright recalled finally waking up days after the Super Bowl LV and having tubes in his throat and stomach. He said he felt paralyzed from the neck down and figured he was in a bad car accident, forgetting he was hospitalized due to COVID-19. Since coming home in late July, Wright said he's been receiving at-home therapy four days per week.

Reggie Wright also reacted to Nas' recent track, "Death Row East." He pointed out some parts of the song he took issue with, including Nas' claim that Big Stretch had nothing to do with 2Pac getting shot and robbed at Quad Studios.

He also gave his account of the tense encounter between 2Pac and Nas at Bryant Park after the MTV Video Music Awards. Take a look at the above clip to hear Reggie Wright's view of what happened that night.
