Anderson.Paak recently revealed a new tattoo that he got, which warned people not to drop unreleased music after he dies. The tattoo reads, "When I'm gone please don't release any posthumous albums or songs with my name attached. Those were just demos and never intended to be heard by the public."
This comes after a string of artists have had albums released after their death, including Prince, Pop Smoke, Mac Miller, Juice WRLD, and XXXTentacion. Pop Smoke's most recent album, Faith, was criticized by some fans and former collaborators who took issue with the original beats being reworked and features removed. Pop Smoke's best friend Mike Dee recently revealed that Faith may be the last project from Pop Smoke, as he believed that as the only music he had left.
