Update 08/17/2021 3:15pm:
After DJ Paul teased a Three 6 Mafia vs Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Verzuz battle, Krayzie Bone revealed that the screenshot of the sit-down DJ Paul teased was part of a discussion about a possible battle.
Krayzie Bone told HipHopDX, "It’s not confirmed yet, but we had conversations yesterday about it. It’s indeed a very strong possibility. We'll probably try to make it happen realistically after the TLC tour [September/October]."
The two legendary rap groups teased a possible battle back in April 2020, which was supposed to take place on DJ Paul's IG Live. Paul addressed the situation with HipHopDX last November, stating, "It was finna happen. Literally 35 minutes before we went live, Swizz’s people called Krayzie Bone and they was like, ‘We gon’ do it on Verzuz, so don’t do it.’ And I was like, ‘Look dude, we still need to do it, man.’ I was like, ‘I don’t know — when is the Verzuz gon’ happen? Like, we still need to do it.’" DJ Paul later added that he still has a lot of love for Swizz Beatz and Timbaland despite the battle being halted.

DJ Paul took to Instagram to hint at a Verzuz battle between Three 6 Mafia and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony on Monday (August 16). He shared a photo from a Zoom call between Krayzie Bone, Verzuz co-founder Swizz Beatz, and Grady Spivey, VP of Entertainment Strategy at Triller. DJ Paul captioned the post, "What are we discussing?"
This comes after DJ Paul and Krayzie Bone announced a battle between the two legendary groups last April, which was supposed to go down on DJ Paul's Instagram Live. Paul spoke to HotNewHipHop.com about the situation in November, and he explained, "It was finna happen. Like 30 minutes. Literally 30-35 minutes, literally 35 minutes before we went live, Swizz’s people called Krayzie Bone and they was like, ‘We gon’ do it on Verzuz, so don’t do it.’ And I was like, ‘Look dude, we still need to do it, man.’ I was like, ‘I don’t know— when is the Verzuz gon’ happen? Like, we still need to do it.'”
DJ Paul added that he still has love for Swizz Beatz and Timbaland despite the mix-up with the battle, and it appears that they are still trying to put something together for the fans. This comes on the heels of the battle between The Lox and Dipset, which has led to a 215% increase in streams for The Lox from the week prior to the battle. Dipset also experienced a 117% increase in their streams from the week prior.
