YNW Melly's promotion of his recently released album resulted in the incarcerated rapping having his video visitation privileges revoked.
During a video call with his manager, Track, YNW Melly asked fans to stream his new album while showing off a pair of Gucci tennis shoes. On Tuesday, the rapper revealed on Instagram that the Broward County Jail confiscated the shoes and barred him from having video visitation for three months.
"To all my fans i love y'all and truly appreciate y'all,” YNW Melly wrote. “The broward county main jail lieutenant had confiscated my gucci shoes and my gucci sock / headband due to the promotion video i posted for my album in just a matter of slime last Friday and they have took my video visitation privileges for 90 days so i cannot interact with my family and fans through video visit. but the risk was worth it we went #1. they can take my shoes, socks and visit but they can't take that #1 away i did it for y'all."
YNW Melly released Just a Moment of Slime last Friday. The album, which was completed over the phone with sound engineers, features Lil Baby, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, Lil Durk, Kodak Black, Queen Naija, Lil Tjay, Kevin Gates, and Tee Grizzley.
