NBA fans expressed concern for reigning Rookie of the Year LaMelo Ball after he was rumored to be dating Ana Montana. Rumors of the pair's relationship started circulated after the two were spotted together in a photo that appeared to be secretly taken.
Due to teammate PJ Washington's drama with Britanny Renner, were concerned about another young NBA player being "trapped" by an older woman. Critics of the rumored romance pointed out the age difference between 32-year-old Montana and 20-year-old Ball. Ana Montana was also accused of trying to "groom" the Charlotte Hornets guard, causing her to defend herself on Twitter and claim she doesn't need a man for financial stability.
"Y'all do know i have MY OWN money and take care of myself and family right ? Lol," she tweeted.
