WBC middleweight champion Jermall Charlo turned himself into police Wednesday due to multiple felony robbery warrants that were issued by San Antonio police weeks earlier.

The 31-year-old boxer was accused of assaulting a bar waitress and stealing her cash tips o July 16. The alleged assault occurred after Charlo's credit card was reportedly declined multiple times. According to an arrest warrant, Charlo accused the waitress of trying to steal his card before confiscating two waiter books and taking his ID and the waitress' cash.

A waitress claimed she suffered a lower leg injury after Charlo and his group "pushed their way out of the building and left the location," trampling her in the process.

Three second-degree robbery warrants were issued on August 7. Jermall Charlo was released on bond half an hour after he was booked.
