Music commentator and media personality Akademiks held a live-streamed listening session last night for Drake's new album, Certified Lover Boy. During his Twitch stream, Ak addressed Kendrick Lamar's guest verse on Baby Keem's "Family Ties."
In the Baby Keem single, Kendrick raps, "Smokin' on top fives / Motherf*** that album, f*** that single
Burn that hard drive."
Akademiks questioned who Kendrick Lamar was referring to when mentioning "top fives." He exploded when addressing the Compton rapper while adding that his top five included only Drake.
"What top five you smokin' on Kendrick!?" Akademiks asked. "Because my top five is Drake, Drake, Drake, Drake, Drake!"
After highlighting Drake, Akademiks continued playing Drake's CLB. However, he was later spotted falling asleep during the album and became a trending topic on Twitter as a result.
It's worth noting that CLB was released at 2 A.M. ET, which could explain Ak falling asleep during the near hour and a half-long album. CLB is Drake's first album since 2018's Scorpion and features JAY-Z, Travis Scott, Future, Lil Baby, Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, Ty Dolla $ign, Tems, and Project Pat.
