Kanye tied Eminem for fifth place for the most number-one albums of all time with his latest release, Donda. The album topped the Billboard 200 despite releasing it several days after the tracking period had already started. Donda sold 300,000 equivalent units and 357 million on-demand streams.
This latest milestone makes Kanye tied with both Eminem and Elvis Presley for the fifth-most number one albums, and Kanye's tenth number one album. Jay-Z still holds the spot for the most number-one albums from a rapper, as he has 14 under his belt, only second to The Beatles, who hold the top all-time spot with 19 number-one albums. Bruce Springsteen and Barbra Streisand fall right behind Jay-Z as the third-most winners, with 11 apiece.
Drake is likely to tie Eminem and Kanye with his latest album, Certified Lover Boy, which set records on Apple Music for the most-streamed artist in a day and biggest album debut ever on the platform. Drake previously held the record for biggest album debut from 2018's Scorpion.
