Previously, it was revealed that Famous Dex would be serving 364 days in prison for domestic violence. Dex was set to serve the time at the Men’s Central jail in Los Angeles. The sentence was handed to Dex in relation to a domestic violence incident that took place in 2020. Dex was sentenced to 364 days on September 1, and now news surfaced noting Famous Dex has been released.
In a text message that surfaced via DJ Akademiks’ Instagram, it was revealed that Dex was let out early. According to Akademiks, Dex was released after a few days due to “overcrowding.” Stay tuned for more updates.

Famous Dex was sentenced to 364 days at Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles due to multiple domestic violence charges, gun possession, and criminal threats.
In June, it was reported that Famous Dex was in custody for violating a protective order that was filed following an alleged abuse incident that occurred in October 2020. Prior to that, he was charged with 19 counts of gun possession and domestic violence from three separate incidents.
According to his inmate, the rapper was sentenced on September 1, 2021, and will receive credit for the time he's already spent behind bars. Famous Dex's projected release date is November 24, 2021.
