Part 1: Hip Hop's 1st MC Coke La Rock on Seeing Kidnapping in His High School

In this clip, Coke La Rock spoke about being the first person to really rhyme on the mic, as opposed to people shouting out their friends or girls when they would DJ at parties. Coke La Rock then shared a story about a local Bronx DJ challenging him to battle in the club and shutting him down, and he added that he was ahead of his time. From there, Coke La Rock addressed Sugar Hill Gang taking some of his lines. 

Coke La Rock then talked about Grandmaster Caz and Melle Mel coming right behind him when it comes to being one of the first rappers. Coke La Rock explained that he isn't 100% on the order of the rappers after him, and he added that Grandmaster Caz and Melle Mel were kids when they were coming to hear him rap at parties. Moving along, Coke La Rock thanked the late DJ Scott La Rock and KRS-One for cementing his name in history on the "South Bronx." He also spoke about meeting kingpin Nicky Barnes' bodyguard, which you can hear more about above.
