The victim in Nicki Minaj's husband's rape case appeared on The Real Wednesday and detailed the events that led to Kenneth Petty's attempted rape conviction.

Jennifer Hough explained that she was publicly speaking out for the first time because she no longer wanted to live in fear. She went on to describe the alleged attack, which happened in 1994 while Petty and Hough were still teenagers.

Hough recalled seeing Petty at a bus stop on her way to school. After a brief interaction, she claimed Petty grabbed her and placed what she believed was a gun on her back. Hough added that he led her to a house before reaching a bedroom. A "tug of war" ensued over her clothing before she gave up during the struggle.

After the alleged rape, Hough explained how she escaped and ran to her school. She told school security and the police what happened to her before taking the authorities to Petty. Hough also denied Petty's family's claims that the two were romantically involved and claimed she dropped the charges due to threats she was receiving at the time.

While Petty denied the first-degree rape charges, he pleaded guilty to attempted rape and served four years. When asked if she felt justice was served, Hough responded, "I don't think I thought about justice per se, because I was still blaming myself. I thought it was something that I did or didn't do so I don't think I thought about if I got justice. I just knew he did what he did and he went to jail and I had to leave my family, leave my home, and move away."

Hough described her life after the alleged attack and gave her thoughts on Petty's marriage to Nicki Minaj. She criticized the rapper for defending Petty and claimed she spoke to Nicki in March 2021. According to Hough, Nicki Minaj offered to fly her and her family to Los Angeles after hearing she was willing to help her and Petty with a specific situation but she ultimately turned down the offer.

"Woman to woman, this really happened. And I haven't spoken to her since," Hough said. "Them sending people to negotiate numbers as far as money is concerned with family members, and Nicki is the one that personally reached out to me. In regards to helping her, helping them and this situation. And then the threats that I received...the last text that I received was about how I should have taken the money because they're going to use the money to put on my head."

Jennifer Hough is currently suing Kenneth Petty and Nicki Minaj for intentional infliction of emotional distress, harassment, and witness intimidation. She's also suing Petty for the 1994 sexual assault.
