Update 09/24/2021 12:35pm:

Updates in the Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion case found Lanez’s bail being raised to $250,000. Now, reports surfaced alleging that Lanez is now reportedly discussing a plea deal in the case involving him and the Texas rapper.

It was noted by the defense for Lanez that he and the team are having “meaningful discussions” with prosecutors for a plea deal to avoid trial. If an agreement isn’t reached by December 3rd, a preliminary hearing for the case will start. Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta spoke on the matter to the judge on the case, saying, “[Defense for Lanez along with prosecutors are] in possible settlement discussions.”

The defense attorney for Tory Lanez—Shawn Holley, said “As in every case, the lawyers for the parties discuss the possibility of resolving the case. This case is no different. That said, our position as to what did and did not happen in this matter remains unchanged, and (Tory Lanez)’s plea of not guilty stands.” Stay tuned for more updates.

A judge ruled Tory Lanez violated an order of protection when he performed as DaBaby's surprise guest at Rolling Loud last month.

As previously reported, prosecutors filed a contempt motion last week to revoke or increase Tory Lanez's bail. They claimed the rapper violated the court's protective order by being within 100 yards of Megan Thee Stallion, who had performed right before DaBaby.

While prosecutors wanted Tory Lanez's bail increased to $500,000, the judge ultimately decided to raise the amount to $250,000. Tory Lanez has also been warned that if he violates the order again, he will be placed into custody. The rapper is expected to post bail immediately.
