Sports journalist Bomani Jones will reportedly follow in Maria Taylor and Paul Pierce's footsteps and leave ESPN once his contract expires.

According to the New York Post, Jones is not expected to re-sign with the sports network once his contract expires in March. While the on-air talent and ESPN have not issued an official statement on his status with the company, ESPN has axed a few of the shows that feature Jones.

ESPN has canceled Jones-featured shows, such as Highly Questionable and High Noon. While Highly Questionable has been rebranded as a digital-only show called Debatable, he is not included in the show's promotional material.

As of now, Jones will continue to appear on Around The Horn and have his podcast, The Right Time with Bomani Jones, hosted by ESPN. Reports claim Bomani Jones has a number of options if he chooses to leave ESPN. He can either join Showtime, Spotify, or former ESPN colleagues Dan Le Batard and John Skipper at Meadowlark Media. He currently has a commentator and contributor role on HBO's Back on the Record with Bob Costas.
