The rise of the Korean Netflix series ’Squid Game’ thanks to social media has now pushed people to create a real-life version of the show, which reportedly will go on this week.

The United Arab Emirates’ Korean Cultural Center organized the event, which will take place on Tuesday, October 12. In order to join the game, instead of being slapped numerous times by a recruiter like participants did in order to get an invite, contestants will have to fill out a form that features three questions related to the ‘Squid Game’ series. The real-life squid game event will feature two teams that include 15 people. The squads will go against one another in four games that were seen during the series.

One of the games featured will be the “Red Light Green Light” event, which sparked numerous viral memes. Along with that, games like “Ddakji,” “Marbles,” and “Dalton Candy” will be featured. Although the games mirror the series, there will be no cash prize, and players will reportedly only go home with a green tracksuit.
