According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, Las Vegas Raiders head coach Jon Gruden has informed the team of his resignation following a media frenzy over racist comments he made about NFLPA head DeMaurice Smith. Other emails from Gruden containing homophobic and sexist language have also surfaced since an investigation was launched into the coach's workplace emails.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Raiders owner Mark Davis met with Gruden at the team's practice facility on Monday amid the controversy. Schefter noted that the two agreed to part ways after the meeting.
