In the latest clip, Omar Gooding talked about starring in the television show, "Smart Guy." One of the executive producers on "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper" went on to work on "Smart Guy" and approached Omar to audition for the bully role. The role eventually evolved into the best friend role and the show went on become a success. However, the show ended after the lead actor demanded a pay increase. Omar said all of the actors were paid the same amount, so he understood the request. However, he took issue with the lead actor deciding to no-show shooting after the cast had already begun filming the upcoming season. While he eventually returned and the season was completed, the show was not renewed.
