Update 10/23/2021 1:51am:
According to reports, NBA YoungBoy will remain in police custody for at least another week as he awaits a court hearing for another gun case he's facing in California. This stems from police finding a firearm in his Maybach earlier this year. In order for YoungBoy to be released and report to house arrest in Utah, he'll first need to get a new bond approval in California.

The judge in NBA YoungBoy's firearm case granted the rapper a conditional bond release on Friday. As previously reported, YoungBoy's lawyers argued for their client to be placed on house arrest in Utah.
In their proposal to the judge, NBA YoungBoy's attorneys told the judge a recording studio would be built in NBA YoungBoy's Utah home and that a security team of ex-military soldiers would patrol the residence around the clock. The Baton Rouge rapper reportedly purchased a Utah home near the family of a childhood tutor, who's mentored the young star. The attorneys also pointed out that NBA YoungBoy has stayed out of trouble whenever he's in Utah with extended family.
The prosecution argued against the music artist's release and referenced a fight the star had while behind bars. They also argued that NBA YoungBoy still committed crimes while in contact with the extended family and claimed he paid the childhood tutor nearly $600,000 between January 4th and February 1st for "celebrity assistant" services. Prosecutors also expressed concern over a conflict of interest with the rapper's security detail, pointing out that the ex-military soldiers will be paid $21,000 per week.
NBA YoungBoy had been inside St. Martin Parish Jail since his arrest in March. The rapper has been charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and possessing an unregistered firearm. NBA YoungBoy has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
