Reggaeton artist Kerr Yen was recently robbed at gunpoint outside of a Miami recording studio before shooting at the thieves as they got away with the stolen possessions.
Surveillance footage captured the Puerto Rican artist smoking outside by himself when a pickup truck pulled up in front of him. An armed man hopped out of the passenger seat and robbed Kerr Yen at gunpoint.
Kerr Yen quickly cooperated and calmly tossed his bag towards the thief. However, as the robber was picking up the bag, Kerr Yen drew his gun and shot at him. The robber was able to take off with the bag before quickly running back to the truck. Kerr Yen fired more shots at the truck as the two men got away.
According to reports, the pickup truck was gray and the robber seen in the video was a Hispanic man who was aged anywhere between 20 and 30 years old. The robber also had cropped hair and was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans at the time of the robbery.
Earlier this year, Kerr Yen appeared on "Lo Mataron" with Nejo, which currently has over 1 million YouTube views. He's also worked with other popular Latin acts, such as Anonimus, Chucky73, and J Alvarez.
As of now, no injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made. Look above to view surveillance footage of the robbery and shootout.
