The eight victims from Travis Scott's Astroworld Festival over this past weekend have been revealed.
High school student John Hilgert is the youngest victim at 14, followed by 16-year-old Brianna Rodriguez, a student at Heights High School in Houston. The other victims were revealed to be best friends Franco Patino and Jacob Jurinek, 21 and 20; Danish Baig, 27; Axel Acosta, 21; Rodolfo "Rudy" Peña, 23; Madison Dubiski, 23.
Details about the victims were also revealed, including Danish Baig, who was reportedly trying to protect his fiancée, who was being stomped on and kicked during the rush of the crowd. Danish's brother Basil said in a statement, "My brother was trying to save her and he did. He saved her and it cost him his life."
The family of Rudy Peña are also asking for answers, as his brother-in-law, Sergio Gonzalez told PEOPLE, "We learned in the worst way. We found out around 12:30 last night from a friend of Rudy that was with him that he had just passed out. It wasn't until this afternoon that we found out he had died."
According to reports, 13 people remain hospitalized, with five under the age of 18. More details to come.
